This may come as great news to a lot of us – a recent study found that women are actually more interested in having sex than their male partners realize.

Canadian researchers asked people in relationships to rate their sexual desire and to also guess their partner’s desire everyday for three weeks. What they found was that the men consistently underestimated how much their wives and girlfriends wanted to have sex on a daily basis.
According to Men’s Health:
Just think: That means when you assume she’s a 3 on a 10-point scale of horniness, she might really be at a 6. That could be the difference between falling asleep to John Oliver and scoring a Tuesday night romp on the living room floor.
Amy Muise, the study author suggests that a possible reason for why we tend to underperceive our wives’ sexual desires is that oftentimes a woman doesn’t make a move even when she’s turned on, perhaps because she’s gotten used to relying on you to initiate. Or maybe her attempts to make a move are too subtle that you don’t notice—and then she gives up.

Muise’s advice to men is to just ask. The worst thing to happen is that she says no. But according to the research, she’ll probably say yes.
