A Man On a Mission — Or Maybe It’s Just the Red Shirt?

Heads up: Putting on a bright red shirt in the morning may change the way people perceive you during the day … and not necessarily for the better.

According to a new study, people think men dressed in red look more aggressive, dominant and angry than if they were clad in gray or blue.

It’s interesting to note that the perception of dominance, however, varied by gender. Women were not inclined to see a man dressed in red as any more dominant than when he was dressed in blue or gray. Men, on the other hand, overwhelmingly rated other men in red as more dominant.

ForMen.com takeaway: We think you should wear whatever color you want. But you might consider red for that next big board meeting.
