Nettles
(for prostate health)
The stinging nettle is a plant that, you guessed it, stings when you touch it. By several accounts, it’s been used as an herbal remedy for as long as man has had prostate problems. It has anti-inflammatory effects (to shrink the prostate) and can act as a diuretic to increase the urine flow. The recommended daily dose of 360mg/day is most easily met by taking a capsule or liquid drops (in your tea, for example). You can also toss some nettle on your salad, but you’ll want to cook them first to rid the stinging hairs of their irritating chemicals.
