Mango Kombucha Margarita
Makes about 2 cups
Unwind AND get your probiotics with this cocktail. The spicy ginger kombucha adds a nice fizzy touch to the creamy, frozen mango.
- 2 ounces (4 tablespoons) tequila
- 1 ounce (2 tablespoons) triple sec
- 1 cup GT’s Gingerade Kombucha, or other ginger kombucha, plus more for topping glasses
- 1 cup frozen mango
- Lime wedges, for garnish
Place tequila, triple sec, 1 cup of kombucha, and mango in Vitamix and secure lid. Starting at Variable 1, turn blender on, gradually increasing to Variable 6. Blend until smooth, but still frozen, about 20 seconds. Serve in lowball glasses, topping each off with a pour of kombucha, and garnishing with a lime wedge.
Bluegreen Smoothie
Make 2 20-ounce servings
This smoothie is definitely a meal. With protein from the almond butter and healthy fat from the coconut oil, it definitely won’t leave you hungry. Chia seeds lend important omega-3s, while maca powder acts as an adaptogen, which helps you cope with the stress of your busy day.
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin coconut oil
- 2 frozen, peeled bananas
- 3 tablespoons almond butter
- ½ cup frozen blueberries
- 2 tablespoons chia seeds
- 2 kale leaves, stems included
- 2 teaspoons maca powder
- 2 cups filtered water
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- ¼ teaspoon sea salt
- Ice, if desired
Place all ingredients in Vitamix and make sure lid is on tightly. Beginning at Variable 1, turn blender on and gradually increase to Variable 8. Blend for about 45- 60 seconds or until smooth.
