In what probably will be unappealing to many, the FDA just announced that Kind snack bars are not healthy enough for the “healthy” tag.As far as protein bars go, Kind is a relatively newcomer to what can seem like an overwhelmingly saturated market. But with bars that tout coconut, cherries and dark chocolate on the label, it’s not surprising that they’ve quickly claimed their fame as one of the fastest growing energy bars on the market. In what probably will be unappealing to many, the FDA just announced that Kind snack bars are not healthy enough for the “healthy” tag. Evidently, the high volume of nuts has resulted in an unacceptable level of saturated fats — something that those who want to watch their waistline will probably take into consideration.
